DigitelOne DSL, a high speed internet connection that allows transmission of data and voice signals, and supports up to 512 Kbps upstream and up to 1 Mbps downstream, had it's major launch in Naga last July 11. It lies through the framework of Digitel, a telecommunications company that serves fixed line network provider in Luzon and moving towards nationwide coverage. The major launch in Naga took place in Villa Caceras in Don Soriano Hall. The event opened its registration as early as 4pm and waited for everybody to settle down. The ball started rolling with the product presentation of DSL at 6pm, presented by Samuel Tan, Product Manager of DSL Corporate Solutions. Bob Mutuc, Key Accounts Business Development Manager from Alcatel, took the stage for the presentation of broadband DSL equipment which they have provided for DigitelOne. As the show progressed, in one corner near the entrance, Compaq provided 3 personal computers and DigitelOne DSL provided the access making it possible for the guests to have the product demo and experience the hi-speed internet connection DigitelOne DSL could provide. After the presentation, the floor was opened for the forum. The guests were given a chance to raise their queries. Lisa Marie Carandang, Product Manager of DSL-Consumer Solutions; Samuel Tan, the representative from Corporate Solutions; and Bob Mutuc from Alcatel were up on stage to answer all the questions inquired. After the product presentation, the organizers of the event -- Ads and Promo of DigitelOne together with Kinetics -- prepared live entertainment for the guests. Aside from the open bar (free drinks and food), the live band Phenomenon performed and kept the guests off their feet swinging on the dance floor. There are also raffles that gave the guests a chance to win DigitelOne and Compaq gift packs. The biggest pot was the Palm M100 and Alcatel One Touch 300 which was given at the end of the show.
